European grouping for territorial cooperation

The Valley of the Cris Rivers Limited Liability European Grouping for Territorial Cooperation was established in Gyula this week.
The aim of the initiative is to organise settlements of the territories situated along the Hungarian-Romanian border, forming organic units with one another into an economic territory suitable for effective development – writes the gyulaihírlap.hu. The mayors taking up partnership signed the cooperation documents on 23 May. After all these, they will submit a joint project proposal for the costs of establishment. The yearly membership fee of the Valley of the Cris Rivers EGTC is 0.02 euro/permanent inhabitant/year. A serious planning work lasting for years starts with the grouping serving the rehabilitation of the surroundings of Gyula – Norbert Alt Deputy Mayor stated.
